The 1950’s finally put an end to the boxy look and started with a new rounded look.  With the men being back in war, the woman concentrated on a more homemaker look at focused on clothes that was easy to keep clean and neat.  Acrylic, spandex and polyester were introduced in the 50’s along with the infamous poodle skirt.  Skirts and even shorts were tiny at the waist and flared out towards the bottom.  Men during the 50’s had a very edgy look.  The greaser look or the “bad boy” look was a white T-shirt, a leather jacket and jeans.  Converse, or chucks were also very popular at this time.
